I know we are already 17 days into 2012 but trust me, if I check out the 2010 list I’ll find more albums I haven’t heard of. This is soooo sad. What is cool instead is this spotify list a selection of almost all the songs. Thanks Information is Beautiful.

As soon as something new comes out, there is immediately someone ready to take advantage of it in a creative way for their marketing purposes. The fake profile of Adam Barak shows the Israeli people how drugs can change your life. Not sure if at the end of it you want to keep having your boring life. Thanks Ted.

I hate lines, especially the long ones, but I have to admit, as an Apple addict it happens a lot. Anyway, I can still laugh at myself with this commercial from Samsung. From 72andsunny, if you needed one more reason to love them.

Amnesty International and a smart way to use the...
“Slide to unlock” is the new campaign that Amnesty International Sweden created to raise more funds. The wallpapers for iPhones and iPads show incarcerated prisoners and when the user unlock his devide, he also unlocks the cell or chain that holds the prisoner captive. One of those things that gives hope to creatives: there is still hope for something new in this world.

How to frame your movies
You probably don’t need this video as you are already mastering your shoots. But I like to highlight what the guy says at the end: to break the rules, you ned to know them first. And this is a lesson I’ve learned from one of my mentor back in the days that I will never forget. Framing and Composition from Videopia on Vimeo.

Last from Ctam, I promise. Luke Williams is the author of Disrupt, a very powerful book that maybe you will buy after the video below. They say that it has been apparently one of the best sessions at the conference. But I am SURE it was the best because I missed it, I was in a phone call. So I just enjoyed the video. Hope you do it as well.

Do you trust your CEO?
From last week’s Ctam in NYC, a study from Edelman called the Trust Barometer. In the pdf that you can download here, you can take a look at how the trust changed in the past years. What grabbed my attention was the part connected to my job: how to do marketing campaigns using the right tools (meaning testimonials when you don’t want to talk through content). In fact in the past...

Social tv, it's time you get it.
Back from CTAM NYC with good insights and a better sense of the US tv industry. In the next few days I will try to post some of the notes, if I really have time and don’t get bored. The Curious Brain found this very cool link with the 20 most inappropriate songs ever used in commercials. Here the number 20: Wendy’s “do what tastes right” use a song about masturbation. I could not care less about the royal wedding. But I really like what TMobile has being doing with their Life is for Sharing campaign in the last 3 years. So I am sharing this video but essentially to complain. WTF - as my fellow Americans say - you not only steal from a very famous video, but also don’t add anything more to it. What’s the point?
